Coaching Approaches

In our 1-to-1 and group coaching programmes we combine different approaches to get the results you want. Our programmes are often made up of combinations of on job observation and feedback, off job performance coaching, personal development coaching, directed coaching and live ‘in call’ coaching.

Directed Coaching

Directed Coaching is a fast and incisive process in which we direct your attention to a whole host of traditional and tailor-made development ideas (e.g. Changing Gears™) which will stimulate your thinking about your situation and about how to get what you want. This process quickly gives you an accurate picture of where you currently are in comparison with where you want to be.

Thinking Space

This is a specific process we offer, designed to help with a new or recently established job. Generally offered within the first 6 – 8 weeks, we use a simple approach that enables the individual to empty their head of the huge amount of information and insights that they have. During a full-on session we help the individual make sense of all the data they’ve got and decide on the strategic direction they wish to take for the next 6 months.

On Job Coaching

A powerful and insightful activity – we give feedback and coaching as it happens, via use of ‘time out’ activity to enable people to try completely new behaviours and approaches live, and test and work with the responses they get.

Other Coaching

Whilst we have a developed a number of areas of specialist coaching and specific approaches such as those listed above, in truth we don’t perceive much difference in ‘the types’ of coaching which people request – to us it’s all essentially personal development coaching.  As a result we’ve provided coaching in many different contexts:

  • Out-placement coaching
  • Team coaching
  • Presentation coaching
  • Conflict resolution coaching
  • Life coaching
